You have a newborn. The nurses and doctors at the hospital are continually asking you questions about how often the baby eats, sleeps, pees, poops and just about anything. You begin writing this all down on a piece of paper, which you lose, or you forget to log everything. When the one week checkup comes, you basically utter something of a tired nature, “I think she pees five times a day, maybe?”
This gets you the shameful look from the nurse as if you are abandoning your child’s needs.
Rest assured, there’s an app for that.
An application called Baby Connect for your smartphone allows you to log a diaper, including what is in the diaper, such as size, color and texture, in a few short taps. A little too much for you, you might think, but it becomes a habit.
You can also log feeding times, whether it is formula or from the mother. In fact, it has a timer for each side when breastfeeding, that you can start and stop and save it for the log.
But wait, there’s more.
Don’t want to hold up the phone for the nurse when it is time to report all the baby’s activities? It exports a report into a CSV file which you can email!
Save yourself those shameful and condescending looks, people! My baby is happy and content. That’s going to be logged in my Baby Connect app.
